Obituary: Sondra Lee Goetsch

November 29, 1936 ~ August 20, 2023

Sondra Lee Goetsch, 86, of Sturgeon Bay passed away at her home on August 20, 2023.  She was born November 29, 1936, in Green Bay to Anton and Leona (Beck) Rassmussmen.  On June 8, 1957, she married William Goetsch in Green Bay.  He preceded her in death on March 26, 2005.

For many years, Sondra worked as a special education associate for both Sevastopol and Southern Door High Schools.  She was a long time and active member at Bay View Lutheran Church.  Sondra enjoyed luncheons and visiting with friends.  She especially enjoyed visits with her grandchildren and great granddaughter.

Survivors include her three children, Wendy (Steve) Kase, Jenny (Mike) Tess, and Griff Goetsch; two granddaughters, Molly Kase and Stephanie (Jared) Sabo; a great granddaughter, Layla Sabo.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Craig Gordon.

Funeral Services will be 6:00 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the Forbes Funeral Home. The burial will be at Bayside Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.
