Obituary: Sylvia Pierrard

April 3, 1930 – July 24, 2023

Sylvia Pierrard, 93 of Delray Beach, Florida died at home with family at bedside on July 24, 2023. She was born April 3, 1930 to Frank and Anna Kraimer. In Kennan, Wi. She graduated from Hawkins High School in 1948 and went on to attend post high school business school,

Sylvia married Dwain Pierrard on May 16, 1953, Sylvia was her husband’s business partner in many adventures including Wick’s Store, Catawba,WI, Dwain’s Food Store Sturgeon Bay and Green Bay,WI, and Dwain’s Captain Inn in Sturgeon Bay.

In 1985, Sylvia and Dwain moved to Delray Beach, Florida where she continued to work for Publix Grocery store until she retired. She enjoy gardening, her many knitting projects, and spending time with friends and family, especially her many grandchildren, Sylvia is survived by 6 children: Jackie Butler, Jeannie Duprey (Bob), John Pierrard, all of Florida; Robert Pierrard, Jill Knaup (Bruce) and Joe Pierrard of Sturgeon Bay.WI; 9 Grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren, sister Theresa Collins of Lake Tomahawk,WI, and her beloved dog Dapper.

Preceding her in death were parents Frank and Anna Kraimer, husband Dwain, beloved daughter MaryLou, brother Harold Kraimer, and sisters Helen Zikan, Lucille McCarty and Elsie Kraimer. 
Family will receive friends, Friday Sept 1, from 10-11am with an 11am Funeral Mass at Corpus Christi Church, 811 W Juniper St, Sturgeon Bay, WI. A lunch will be provided after the Funeral Mass.
Burial will be held at Saint Joseph Cemetery, 3737 Egg Harbor Rd, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235.
