Obituary: Thomas A. Watson

March 2, 1934 ~ December 1, 2021

Thomas A. Watson, 87, beloved husband to wife Barbara nee Wehmhoefer, died peacefully in his sleep of natural causes December 1, 2021, in his home with his daughter Donna by his side. He was born March 2, 1934, in Chicago, IL, the son of Norman E. and Mildred C. Watson nee Bergholz.

Tom graduated from Schurz High School, class of 1952. Following graduation, he went to carpentry school and became a carpenter building custom homes in Chicago, IL. He married Barbara A. Wehmhoefer, September 12, 1953, in Chicago, IL, they just celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. Tom was a member of the Carpenters Union. After retiring from carpentry, he went into the limousine business for 10 years. In 1990, he and his wife purchased property in Sturgeon Bay, WI and built a home in the woods where they currently resided upon his death. Tom liked to boat, fish, watch sports and spend time with his family. He loved to drive and travel and dine out. He died a Green Bay Packer fan after he gave up his hometown Chicago Bears. Tom was a very happy go lucky, comical guy, with a love for life and all its opportunities. He was Loved by all and brought joy and happiness to all who knew him. He always liked helping friends and family with home projects and whistled while he worked. He loved his home in the woods across the street from Whitefish Bay, he was always puttering in the woods, the garage or basement, building and creating something amazing.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son Bruce A. Watson. Surviving in addition to his wife, Barbara; are his daughter, Donna J. Scott nee Watson of New Market, MD; son, Glen R. and wife Donna M. Watson nee Morgan; 7 grandchildren, Alexander B. Scott of Frederick, MD; and Thomas C. Scott, of New Market, MD; Christopher Watson of Chicago, IL; Nicole Watson of Lake Zurich, IL; Kristina G. Kollross of Hinsdale, IL; Carly M. Watson and Paige Watson of IL; and 1 great grandson, Blake C. Vassos of Chambersburg, PA; and many cousins and nieces and nephews.  He will be missed by all.
