OBITUARY: Thomas William Stoddart

Thomas William Stoddart, 81, of Little Harbor in the Town of Sevastopol, died July 30, 2018 in Sturgeon Bay, WI.

Tom was born in Wauwatosa, WI to the late Byron and Alice (Montgomery) Stoddart on Sept. 1, 1936. Tom attended Marquette High School and Marquette University in Milwaukee. On Jan. 7, 1961, he married the love of his life and his best friend, Sheila Kay Doyle. They were married at St. Francis Cabrini Church in West Bend, Wisconsin. They were blessed with 57 years of marriage. Tom and Sheila had three wonderful children and three grandchildren.

Tom sold medical supplies for nearly 20 years. He then worked at The Rushes condominium for 25 years. Tom enjoyed traveling, woodworking, jazz and big band music, reading, and The Packers. His biggest joy in life was spending time with his family.

Tom is survived by his wife, Sheila; three children: Jim of Bloomington, MN, Lisa of Fargo, ND, and Patrice (Todd) Pierce of Rothschild, WI; and three grandchildren, Nathan (Randi) Heinold, Elizabeth Heinold, and Sarah Stoddart; as well as other relatives; and friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; his infant son, Joseph; and his brother, Jack.

Tom’s life was celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay with Fr. Robert Stegmann as celebrant.
