OBITUARY: William “Bill” James Price

William “Bill” James Price, 70, of Brussels, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. He was born June 29, 1948 to James and Ardis (Quinney) Price in Gresham, Wisconsin.  Bill owned and operated his own service station for 10 years and then worked as a mechanic for the Door County Highway Department for over 20 years.  On Aug. 27, 1966 he married Sandra Klessig at St. Francis Parish in Brussels.

Bill was a retired B.U.G Fire Dept. member. In his spare time, he liked playing softball, hunting, bowling, working on cars, shooting trap, collecting antiques, golfing, playing coo-yah and sheepshead, and watching his children and grandchildren play sports. Bill was an avid Brewers and Packers fan. He had a good sense of humor and loved having family cookouts and campfires while sharing stories.

Survivors include his wife Sandra, five children, Richard Price, Sturgeon Bay; Dana (Dan)  Bosman, Forestville; Scott (Rachel) Price, Sturgeon Bay; Travis (Penny) Price, Brussels; John (Andrea) Price, Luxemburg; 14 grandchildren: Drew, Daniel, Jamie, Kayla, Hannah, Isabella, Sophia, Vienna, Vince, Will, Sterling, Caitlin, Trenton and Payton; five great-grandchildren, Brock, Mason, Hailey, Owen, Delaney, and Noelle; two brothers, Edward ( Carol) Price and Daniel (Pam) Price; two sisters, Shirley Turpin and Alice Mae Swanson;  brother-in-law Tim Klessig; two sisters-in-law, Paula (Herbie) Herbst and Tena Klessig.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two great-grandchildren, Christopher Price and Regan Allen; in-laws, Hugo and Mary Jane Klessig; one brother-in-law Hugo Klessig Jr.

Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018 at St. Francis and St. Mary Parish in Brussels with the Rev. Edward Looney officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Forbes Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 – 8 pm and at the church on Wednesday from 10 am until the time of service.  A prayer service is scheduled for 7:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
