Born on January 19, 1940, in Sturgeon Bay, Bill was the son of Joseph and Glenice (Simon) Patza. He left high school to enroll in the coast guard, where he served 2 years. He met Isobel Cleland in Door County, Sturgeon Bay, they married in 1962, had their daughter, Elizabeth, in 1963, and the rest is history.

Bill was an electrician working in construction. He loved to do the job and work with his hands. He was also a talented carpenter, who enjoyed using his tools. Bill built their home in Cohasset, MN that they lived in for over 30 years. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was an avid outdoorsman.

William J. Patza, 82 of Grand Rapids, MN died on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, in his home.
