Olde Curiosity Shoppe Opens in Egg Harbor

Opening March 1, The Olde Curiosity Shoppe is the latest addition to the Main Street Shops of Egg Harbor at 7828 Highway 42 (Unit 2B). With just about 1,000 square feet of selling space, proprietors Bruce Joffe and Russ Warren believe it’s neither too big nor too small.

When describing the merchandise in their own shop, it’s obvious that Joffe – a college professor of public relations and marketing – and Warren – the marketing director at Birch Creek Music Performance Center – know their way around promotional jargon:

“Timeless treasures, cherished collectibles, tried-and-true keepsakes, vintage nostalgia and memorabilia, extraordinary antiques and artwork, furniture, furnishings, knick-knacks, bric-a-brac and more,” announces their advertising copy, directing potential customers to The Olde Curiosity Shoppe’s Facebook page which is loaded with pictures and information.

Though they see their shop as a more specialized niche not competing with area resale and consignment stores, appropriate merchandise will be sold on a consignment basis. The owners of The Olde Curiosity Shoppe are quick to claim that they offer the “best and most flexible consignment terms in the Door.”

The shoppe is open Saturdays (10:30 am – 5 pm) in March; Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in April; and daily except Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout “the season.” For more information visit facebook.com/OldeCuriosityShoppe or call 920.868.1566.
