One Hot Zydeco Swamp/Blues Rock Outfit

Celebrate the Fourth of July with Copper Box at the Woodwalk Concert Series. Well known to Door County, Copper Box has been performing more than 140 shows a year for Mardi Gras, Oktoberfest, music festivals, performing art centers, and community concerts throughout the US.

Wisconsin Blues Society describes Copper Box as “One hot Zydeco Swamp/Blues Rock outfit with a great baritone and tenor sax gal and a hot accordion man. This group cooks and swings with some of the best Zydeco-influenced groups I’ve seen anywhere in the country.” The band members are Kevin Junemann, bass, ukulele; Jason Van Ryzin, drums; Michelle Jerabek, saxophones, guitar, flute, washboard, vocals; and Danny Jerabek, button box (accordion), keyboards, cornet, sousaphone, vocals, etc.

The show starts at 6:30 pm with Jeanne Kuhns and friends opening; come as early as 5:30 pm to picnic. Tickets are $18 at the door. Upcoming shows include Roger Kuhns Monologue with Robin Bienemann opening on July 10, and Jeanne Kuhns and Small Forest on July 11 with Tony Dale on drums.
