Open Door Bird Sanctuary Hosts Open Day Feb. 1

On Feb. 1, Open Door Bird Sanctuary will host its second annual winter Open Day. Stop by anytime between 11 am and 3 pm to enjoy the trails for a snowshoe, hike or cross-country ski. (Equipment is not provided.) The trails – almost two miles among the three – are all fairly level and traverse various landscapes. Guests can meet some of our resident raptors, too.

“We have many of our visitors ask about using the property in winter, so we are really excited to give everyone this opportunity,” said Rob Hults, executive director.

A bonfire and beverages will be available to guests. Admission is $3.
