Open Door Bird Sanctuary (ODBS) is on the home stretch of the fundraising campaign to purchase the land they are currently leasing. All improvements that have been made to the land to date are owned by ODBS. ODBS will hold a Hoot-e-Nanny to reach their goal. From this point through the Hoot in 2019, the sanctuary is putting all funds, outside of operations, toward completion. This purchase insures that ODBS is preserved for generations to come.
The 2018 Hoot-e-Nanny is set for Aug. 23. This folksy, lively and classy dinner event is catered by Alexander’s of Fish Creek. This year features a longer cocktail hour with music by Last Man Standing. The event is being held at Woodwalk Gallery in Egg Harbor. Marj Andrae, who puts together the silent auction, focused auction items on local gift certificates and creative dinner experiences. There are donated items like a Trek bike from Nor Door Sport and Cyclery. Guests can also meet some of the ODBS resident raptors in person.
To reserve a spot call 920.629.4877 or email Jillaine.bu[email protected]. Reservations are due by Aug. 10.
