Experience birds of prey in a natural environment at Open Door Bird Sanctuary in Jacksonport.
Be awed and inspired by close encounters with raptors during a one-hour program, see and touch artifacts and visit with birds on display. With 34 acres of serene landscape, three hiking trails in different types of landscape and a picnic area, make it an afternoon to remember.
Open Door will be open the second and fourth weekend of June, July and August, as well as during July 4 and Labor Day weekends. Hours are 12 – 4 pm Saturday and Sunday, with the program beginning at 1 pm. The cost is $5 adults and $3 kids, and free for kids younger than 4.
