Open Door Pride Festival June 23

Open Door Pride’s 2nd Annual Pride Festival is June 23, 11 am – 5 pm in Martin Park, Sturgeon Bay. Milwaukee natives Lex Allen and Taj Raiden, known for their alternative R&B sound and artistry celebrating diversity, will headline. Joining the festival fun is Gender Confetti, a punk trans band; HellMuff band; and the well­-traveled Queer Pressure DJ Collective (all from Madison). A variety of local artists will also perform including Cathy Grier and the Troublemakers, Dorothy Scott, Johnny Delorit and Jeanne Kuhns, and Green Bay’s Tarl Knight. Food, beverages, artists and local non­profits will also be at the festival along with custom t­-shirts, an art tent and Ribbon Project.

The week leading up to the Pride Festival is dedicated as Pride Week, with a number of Pride-centered events hosted at various venues throughout the community. All scheduled events are free and open to the public. Open Door’s vision is a week that brings together performance, art, food, education, and conversations, in a family friendly environment.
