Opening Reception for Edgewood Orchard Galleries’ Exhibit IV

Edgewood Orchard Galleries will be hosting a reception for the opening of its fourth exhibit of the season on Saturday, September 5 from 4 – 7 pm. Wine and hors d’ouevres will be served in the gallery courtyard, and the featured artists will give short talks about their artwork at 5 pm. There is no charge to attend the reception and the public is welcome.

Edgewood Orchard’s Exhibit IV, running through September 22, will feature the artwork of clay artist Judith Meyers Altobel, painters Susan Hale, Gretchen Klug and Frederick Somers and jeweler Ed Levin.

On Sunday, September 6, featured artist Gretchen Klug will give a painting demonstration from 1 – 3 pm under the tent in the gallery courtyard. She will be working on an oil painting using a palette knife and will be answering questions about her painting style and her use of a palette knife during her demonstration. Wine and hors d’ouevres will be served in the gallery courtyard during the demonstration, and this event is also free and open to the public.

In addition to the artwork by the five artists featured in Exhibit IV, artwork from the over 150 artists that Edgewood Orchard Galleries represents on an ongoing basis can be viewed in the gallery buildings and surrounding sculpture gardens daily from 10 am – 5 pm. Edgewood Orchard Galleries is located at 4140 Peninsula Players Road, one block east of Highway 42 between Juddville and Fish Creek.
