Opening Reception for Norbert Blei Paintings Is Oct. 2

Not all of writer Norbert Blei’s followers are aware of his prolific collection of watercolor and mixed media paintings. Blei used painting as a break from long sessions at the typewriter, and to express what doesn’t always come in words. A small sampling from his eclectic collection will be available for viewing in the UU Gallery at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County during October.

A reception will be held Oct. 2, 12 – 2 pm, to celebrate Blei’s work. With selections of his paintings as backdrop, Al DeGenova, Sharon Auberle, Ralph Murre, and Jude Genereaux will read short selections from Blei’s written work at 12:30 pm. Refreshments will be served and the public is encouraged to attend.

The UU Gallery is located at 10341 Hwy. 42 in north Ephraim. Gallery hours are 1 – 3 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 11 am – 12 pm Sunday; and by appointment at 920.854.7559.
