Orchard Country Winery & Market Celebrates Winter Wine & Cherry Fest

Orchard Country Winery & Market is celebrating the joys of winter with a wonderful family festival. Inviting guests of all ages to join in the fun, Winter Wine & Cherry Fest will feature games, food and beverage sampling, and horse-drawn wagon rides through the Orchard’s surrounding countryside. The fest will be held on Saturday, February 9 from 11 am – 5 pm.

“This is a wonderful time of the year,” said Carrie Lautenbach-Viste, co-owner of Orchard County. “Everyone is in a festive mood and enjoying everything fun about winter. Hopefully, we are providing a new tradition of visiting Fish Creek this time of the year and participating in our annual Orchard Country Fest.”

Throughout the day the atmosphere inside Orchard Country’s signature red building will be toasty and warm. Renowned chef Marilyn Fischer of MarJay Foods will provide samples of her unique product line from 11 am – 3 pm. Door County’s signature cherries will be queen for the day with taste-tempting treats to savor.

Orchard Country’s extraordinary wines will be available for tasting during the Winter Wine & Cherry Fest, and an opportunity to paint a wine-glass will provide a “take home memory.”

Another highlight of the day’s festivities is the cherry pit spit contest from 11 am – 2 pm.

Horse-drawn wagon rides through the countryside will be available from 11 am – 4 pm. “We do recommend that reservations be made for the rides; they really are popular,” said Carrie. Reservations can be made by contacting John Mayberry at 920.421.1152. “Remember to dress warmly; it can get a bit nippy out in the open,” Carrie added.
