Organic Grower Looking for Apprentices

A Baileys Harbor-area organic grower with 20 years of farming experience wants to take on apprentices this season – an amazing learning opportunity for those interested in starting small-scale organic-produce operations.

Apprentices will learn about crop management and marketing in a hands-on, family-farm setting that will give them valuable experience to successfully launch their own operations. References from former apprentices who have gone on to become successful organic farmers are available upon request.

The season is already under way and runs through Oct. 31. Apprentices may choose their own hours, schedules and length of commitment. The program is free. To set up an interview or learn more, text David at 920.839.5062.
