Organist Katie Moss in Concert

Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church presents organist Katie Moss in in concert July 21, 7 pm. She will perform works by J. S. Bach, Buxtehude, Distler, Mendelssohn, Michel, Parry and Thomas.

Moss has performed as a solo organist throughout the United States, more recently as annual guest artist for the Central Iowa AGO Chapter in Des Moines, Iowa (2017) and the Organists of Iowa Concert Series at Iowa State University (2016). She is the winner of the Milwaukee Music Teachers’ Association Young Artists Competition (piano), the winner of the 2011 Schubert Club Student Scholarship Competition (organ), and the second place winner in the 2011 American Guild of Organists Region VI Young Artists Competition.

Moss is currently a candidate for the Doctorate of Music in Organ Performance and Sacred Music at Indiana University. She has studied under Dr. John Behnke, Dr. Chris Young and Mr. Bruce Neswick.

The concert is offered free to the public and a reception follows the performance. A freewill offering is accepted to support the musical programs presented by the concert series at Shepherd of the Bay.
