Original Oil Paintings at Northern Door YMCA

Jim Leatham’s original, impressionistic oil paintings of Door County will be on exhibit throughout August at the Northern Door YMCA in Fish Creek.

The works showcase Leatham’s style in capturing all the seasons: summer’s beach breezes; the bright, warm colors of autumn; the snowy white of winter; and the green of spring in the towns, harbors, trails and fields of the county.

As an established, award-winning painter, Leatham founded the Peninsula Plein Air Painters group in 2002 (renamed the Door County Outdoor Painters in 2010), and his work has been featured in Door County establishments for more than four decades, including at the Miller Art Museum and Hardy Gallery.
