Outdoor Arts at Plum Bottom

Plum Bottom Gallery hosts its annual Outdoor Art Show May 28-29, 10 am – 5 pm, at its Plum Bottom Road location. This show will feature the work of Rose Kleman, Sharon Miller Thompson, Diane Kuehn and Laurel Grey.

Grey grew up in Japan, Germany and Texas, and spent most of her adult life in Washington state and Santa Cruz, California, settling in Door County. Her art reflects a blend of the natural elements of all these places. Grey loves the freedom of glass art that comes from “letting go of the outcome,” a Buddhist lesson she tries to apply in her daily life. Thompson puts a twist on nature to create unique, durable art for the home and garden. From bird baths and birdhouses, to mosaics of handmade tile and her custom ironwork, you will find a piece calling for a spot in your garden.

Kleman makes beautiful glass panels perfect for outdoor and indoor spaces. All of Kleman’s work is inspired by the unequaled physical and emotional power of water and the natural surrounding that makes it magical. Kuehn makes stainless steel wire sculptures in various sizes that are perfect for hanging in the garden. Each sculpture shows a fairy signifying love, renewal and a little bit of magic.

Artists will be present at the opening reception on May 28, 3-6 pm, with artist talks beginning at 4 pm. Plum Bottom Gallery has three locations open daily, 10 am– 5 pm. For more information, visit PlumBottomGallery.com or call 920.743.2819.
