Hike the Hemlock Trail

When people think about hiking in Peninsula State Park, Eagle Trail is usually the first trail that comes to mind. But lovers of the outdoors shouldn’t look past Hemlock Trail. This path winds through a white cedar forest and up the Niagara Escarpment to reveal stunning views of Green Bay and the Strawberry Islands.

Distance: 3.6 miles (out and back)

Difficulty: Moderate

Highlights: Access the trail near Weborg Campground or Tennison Bay Campground. Lake iris greets hikers at the edge of a cedar-hemlock forest. Skirt up a low bluff to catch a glimpse of the Strawberry Islands through birch and pine trees.
