Car collectors, owners and admirers will want to be at the Door County Sports and Classic Car Show in Egg Harbor. The second annual car show takes place August 17 from 10 am – 3 pm.

Campfire Cooking Featured at Savory Spoon
No need to roast hot dogs and warm up a can of beans anymore when you can dine on pizza margherita and hot cherry pie for dessert. On July 23 at 6 pm, join Savory Spoon Cooking School for a real campfire experience with instructors Mark Samuels and Ray Werner, who have collectively taught Outdoor Education at Lake Forest High School for over 45 years.

Location, location, location! When Washington Islanders decided they needed a school, they built on the shore of one of Door County’s finest beaches. The year was 1850, and while other Wisconsin children gazed out their schoolhouse windows to see fields of corn, cows out to pasture, or a dirt road – the students of Washington Island saw brilliant blue water stretching out from a beach of stony pebbles.

The Door County Coastal Byway is a Wisconsin Scenic Byway that stretches over 66 miles as it loops through the beautiful Door Peninsula. Beginning just north of Sturgeon Bay, the Byway offers abundant opportunity for bird watching, post-card quality scenery, fascinating cultural history and accessible natural geologic features.
