  • Early Birders Club Visit Wildlife Wizardy Studio

    The Ridges Sanctuary’s Early Birders Club will tour the gallery of national award-winning taxidermist Mike Orthober on Feb. 11 at 10 am. Wildlife Wizardry Studio is located at 6453 Oak Road, just off Bay Shore Drive in Egg Harbor.

  • Newport State Park Hosts Annual Candlelight Trail Event

    Newport State Park will hold their 21st Annual Candlelight Ski/Hike/Snowshoe event on Feb. 11 from 5:30 – 8:30 pm. Park staff and volunteers will place over 300 homemade candles guiding participants down a one-mile wooded trail section.

  • Sturgeon Bay Hosts Annual “Fire & Ice” Weekend

    Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center will host the annual “Fire & Ice” weekend Feb. 17 – 19. Saturday will be filled with cool activities including a citywide ice carving competition by local ice artists and professional carvers.

  • Fish Creek Seeks Parade Participants, Fruit Loop Runners

    Door County residents and visitors can bask in 15 minutes of fame in the Fish Creek Winter Festival Parade on February 4. Participants of all kind are encouraged and welcome to join in the annual festive winter parade: individuals, businesses, walkers, animals, cars, and floats.

  • Ski the Door

    The second annual Ski the Door will take place Feb. 4 – 5. At each location, the ski will last about 60 – 90 minutes. Ski the Door will begin Feb. 4 at 9 am.

  • Ridges Sanctuary’s Snowshoe Hikes Return

    Beginning Jan. 6, The Ridges Sanctuary in Baileys Harbor will sponsor weekly, guided Snowshoe Hikes. Each Friday and Saturday in January and February, the public is welcome to join a Ridges naturalist to explore the trails and learn about winter ecology and wildlife.
