OVERHEARD
Are there tid-bits of conversations you’ve heard while standing in line at the grocery store, serving a table, or walking down the sidewalk that make you smile, cringe or laugh out loud?
Bears fan: “Aw look at the poor kid on the cover of the Pulse wearing a Packers jersey. He should be wearing a Bears jersey.” Packers fan: “Yeah, with a skirt!”
“He looked so childlike with those adorable big ears.”
“Your sarcasm and truthfulness are blended.”
“You’re beginning to look like what you are.”
“It smelled like donuts and it was a really happy environment!”
“I hope this is a sign that I’ll end up meeting a surgeon’s hot son.”
“It’s the NFL, man – ‘No Fun League.’”
“We saw Mötley Crüe and Alice Cooper. There was so much blue eyeshadow, teased hair, and off-the-shoulder t-shirts, and that was just the boys.”
OBSESSIONS
Is there anything you can’t stop thinking about, listening to, watching, eating, or drinking? Obsessions are meant to be your of-the-moment fixation.
Watching the Packers win!
Slow-cooker recipes.
Hot apple cider with cinnamon sticks.
Cream liqueur in my coffee (and hot chocolate … and on the rocks …)
Warm weather travel!
Kegerators.
