Overheard and Obsessions, Oct. 9, 2015

Are there tid-bits of conversations you’ve heard while standing in line at the grocery store, serving a table, or walking down the sidewalk that make you smile, cringe or laugh out loud?

“Come on everybody, let’s give her the clap!”

“You cannot escape Viagra on Washington Island.”

“I call man boobs ‘moobies.’ It sounds gentler.”

“I thought I was thinking.”

“When I come into a store to buy $12 underwear, you better act like I’m somebody.”

“You know, every time I see you I think of my dog.”

“Eh, she’s like a bus. Another one will come along.”

Is there anything you can’t stop thinking about, listening to, watching, eating, or drinking? Obsessions are meant to be your of-the-moment fixation.

Brown ales.

Fall festivals!

Watching the leaves gradually change color.

Planning out what TV shows I’m going to binge watch this winter.

Halloween decorations.
