OVERHEARD

Are there tidbits of conversations you’ve heard while standing in line at the grocery store, serving a table or walking down the sidewalk that make you smile, cringe or laugh out loud?

“It smells like dry cat food out here.”

“They’re like sloths with makeup problems.”

“What the heck is this Free Willy music?”

PET PEEVES

Is there something that really irks you, gets your goat, rubs you the wrong way, drives you up the wall, gets you bent out of shape, puts a stick in your craw or makes you want to throw in the towel?

When people cut their nails and leave the clippings all over the floor – or in someone else’s desk drawer.

When people say, “Let me sneak by you.”

People who leave an inch of beverage in the bottom of their cups.

Truck drivers. Be it pickup trucks or huge semi trucks, the drivers seem to have their own rules of the road that include going faster than everyone else and tailgating.
