Overheard and Obsessions: Oct. 6, 2017

Are there tid-bits of conversations you’ve heard while standing in line at the grocery store, serving a table, or walking down the sidewalk that make you smile, cringe or laugh out loud?

“I’m leaving. I’m running away from home…I’ll be back before 11.”

“Those are clean. I washed them three days ago.”

“Don’t be mad about my face. If you don’t like it, don’t look at it.”

“Is it made with love? No. It’s made with mayo.”

“I dated this guy’s granddaughter for a while, then she hooked up with my sister, then later my brother. Small town life.”

“It was just a bloodbath of idiots talking.”

Is there anything you can’t stop thinking about, listening to, watching, eating, or drinking? Obsessions are meant to be your of-the-moment fixation.
