OVERHEARD

Are there tid-bits of conversations you’ve heard while standing in line at the grocery store, serving a table, or walking down the sidewalk that make you smile, cringe or laugh out loud?

“That’s the girl in the bathmat.”

“My stomach hurts, so I need cheese curds and frozen yogurt.”

“I want the flat iron steak to taste how it smells outside.”

“Girls, I will slap all of you and make your boyfriends want me.”

“There’s bird poop on my car and I’m happy about it.”

“Where is the place with the sheep on the ceiling?”

“Every once in a while a shot of pickle juice is just what you need in life.”

“Uncooked bratwurst – that’s the color of my flesh.”

“He can’t run. He can’t even hurry up.”

“It’s because of you we can’t have nice things.”

“Because of his name I expect his hair to stick straight up.”

SHOUT OUTS

Is there someone or something that deserves a pat on the back or a slap on the wrist?

“Shout out to The Spa at Sacred Grounds (Nancy in particular) for a very relaxing afternoon over Mother’s Day weekend. Thanks for getting all my kinks out!” ~ A very relaxed mama

PET PEEVES

Is there something that really irks you, gets your goat, rubs you the wrong way, drives you up the wall, gets you bent out of shape, puts a stick in your craw, or makes you want to throw in the towel?

“When you’re so frazzled after grocery shopping, you put the broccoli in the freezer and the ice cream in the refrigerator…and don’t realize your error until a good 16 hours later.” ~ Spacey Casey

“Swallowing at least a dozen Mayflies on my leisurely walk along the shore. A few went up my nose, another went in my left eye! They’ll disappear by June 1 right?” ~ Choking on Flies
