Overheard and Shout Outs: Oct. 21, 2016

Are there tid-bits of conversations you’ve heard while standing in line at the grocery store, serving a table, or walking down the sidewalk that make you smile, cringe or laugh out loud?

“I don’t like hugging. I hate touching. It’s not interesting to me.”

“Honestly, my only goal for the remainder of the year is to make enough friends to fill a four-person table so I don’t have to sit alone.”

“Why are we so petty? I’m only petty with you.”

“I think I’m going to make a little advent calendar leading up to the election. But I’m going to fill it with booze instead. And on Election Day, a fifth.”

“I feel like it’d hurt the person swinging the rolling pin as much as it would hurt the one who got hit by it.”

“All I do all day is wipe.”

Is there someone or something that deserves a pat on the back or a slap on the wrist?
