Overheards and Shout Outs

OVERHEARD
Are there tid-bits of conversations you’ve heard while standing in line at the grocery store, serving a table, or walking down the sidewalk that make you smile, cringe or laugh out loud?

“The walk home from Husby’s is a lot longer than it seems, especially when you left your jacket at the last bar.”

“So you were there for the big toe sucking?”

“Have you ever wondered why they call it a Slim Jim?”

“Ohhh…I LOVE creatures.”

“I wouldn’t necessarily recognize the difference between a snowmobile and a four wheeler.”

“What language are we going to speak today?”

“Is this a deer rifle or a Toyota?”

“I’m waiting for the perfect banana.”

SHOUT OUTS
Is there someone or something that deserves a pat on the back or a slap on the wrist?

“A hearty shout out to The Peninsula Singers. Exquisite performance on Saturday night, Dec.10, at Corpus Christi. Aren’t we lucky to have you!” ~ Sharon Thill-Hanson

“Shout out to the deer that keeps eating all my birdseed. Go find a bush or something to chew on.” ~ Deer Diary

“Shout out to my family and friends – each and everyone of you know who you are. Thanks for all of your love and support in 2011.” ~ Allison Vroman
