Owl-O-Rama at The Ridges

Owl-O-Rama is returning to The Ridges Sanctuary March 3-4, when attendees can learn about these nighttime predators, which owl species are found in Door County and how we can protect them.

The event starts March 3, 6-8:30 pm, with an owl prowl. After a presentation in the Nature Center, 8166 Hwy 57 in Baileys Harbor, participants will go to The Ridges’ Logan Creek property to hear owls calling to each other. The fee is $15 for the public, $12 for members and $7 for ages 16 and younger. Registration is required at ridgessanctuary.org.

An owl nest-box workshop for the Eastern screech owl will take place March 4, 12:30 pm. All materials and instruction will be provided to create a box that can be taken home for hanging in a yard. The cost is $40 for the public and $35 for members. Registration is required at ridgessanctuary.org.

Then staff from Open Door Bird Sanctuary will be at the Nature Center on March 4, 1-3 pm, to show off and discuss live birds of prey and answer questions.
