PAA Announces Dates for Summer 2010 Grant Cycle

The Peninsula Arts Association (PAA), an organization that supports the Door County arts scene, is seeking original projects for ArtFund, a program created by the Wisconsin Arts Board to provide funds to art organizations throughout the state. Since 1994, PAA has focused a large portion of their efforts on ArtFund. The funds provided by the Wisconsin Arts Board are matched dollar for dollar with money that PAA receives through donations and fundraising. The total is then awarded to Door County artists and art organizations twice a year. ArtFund organizations, such as the PAA, must reapply each year for acceptance to this program.

Individual artists and organizations are welcome to participate by creating original projects with a strong focus on the community. Individual applicants are required to partner with a non-profit organization and all projects must have a public component such as a workshop, exhibit, or performance.

The Grant cycle is currently open. Applications must be postmarked or submitted digitally for technical review by Monday, May 17. Interested participants are asked to contact Stephanie St. John, the grants administrator, to request an application and schedule an appointment to discuss the guidelines and the artist’s project. To contact St. John, call 920.327.1369 or email [email protected].
