Sevastopol’s girls track-and-field team has qualified two athletes who will compete in three events in the WIAA state meet on June 2-3 in La Crosse.
At Thursday’s Division 3 Sectional hosted by Marathon, where the top-four finishers in each event qualified for state, Pioneers junior Bea Dramm placed fourth in both the 1600-meter run (5 minutes, 25.58 seconds) and 3200 run (12:15.72).
Sevastopol junior Kylee Duessler qualified for state for the second year in a row by placing third in the 200 dash (27.01).
Gibraltar Girl Also Statebound
Gibraltar is sending one girl to next week’s state track-and-field meet after junior McKailey Reisen placed third in the 100 hurdles (16.11 seconds).
