PALETTE-KNIFE WORKSHOPS AT IDEA GALLERY

Idea Gallery will be hosting two workshops taught by nationally renowned oil painter Jeff Boutin, who uses a variety of palette knives to create richly colored landscapes depicting the natural beauty of the peninsula. His bold use of color and expressive impasto technique are reminiscent of Vincent Van Gogh.

On July 16, 11:30 am – 4 pm, workshop participants will focus on waterscapes, and on Sept. 17, 11:30 am – 4 pm, the workshop focus will be birch groves. The cost of $175 for each workshop includes lunch, beverages and all workshop materials. No experience is necessary to enjoy the creative process of making art.
