Jeanne Dana, a husband/wife artist team, is now featured at the Santa Fe Shop in Fish Creek and showing their recycled paper art.
The Jeanne Dana Paper Mill creates art from paper and recycled glass. Plaster was added to the paper castings to make them more durable. Their gold leafing, innovative coloring techniques, use of metal oxide powders and natural earth-tone pigments have led to further innovations. Traditional patinas and hand-mixed acid dyes are burnished back and oxidized with steel and more acid, then sealed with hand-mixed UV coatings. In the 21st century, Jeanne Dana’s art has become more architectural and contemporary, creating cast stone, cold bronze and marble sculpture, artwork and murals.
Jeanne Dana produces an outdoor-safe, museum quality casting that will last for hundreds of years. Their styling is best described as early/ancient European on contemporary themes with 21st century materials. Every piece is signed and dated.
