Parallel 44 Uses Food & Wine Fest to Raise Money for Charity

Parallel 44 teamed up with nine area restaurants to raise money for nine charities in Northeast Wisconsin during for Food & Wine Fest on April 28, 12-4 pm.

This event features a friendly competition between nine area restaurants, who have each selected one of Parallel 44’s internationally awarded wines to create their perfect food and wine pairing. The winning combination will be selected by those attending the event. The following restaurants will compete:  Uncle Mike’s Bake Shoppe, Hall of Fame Chophouse, The Cannery Public Market, Heartland Pizza Company, Taste of Ethiopia, Smoked to the Bone, Cozzy Corner, Pizza Garden and IL Angolo Resto-Bar.

Attendees will taste each pairing and at the end everyone will cast their vote for the best pairing. The restaurant with the most votes will receive a grand prize from Parallel 44 that will be given to their partnering charity. These nine area charities represented during the event are Breast Cancer Family Foundation, Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin, Miracle League of Green Bay, MyTeam Triumph, Pay It Forward/Ethiopia, 4th Hooah, B.A.B.E.S. Child Abuse Prevention, Autism Society of the Lakeshore, and The Fox Valley Warming Shelter.  A grand prize of $750 will be given to the winning restaurant’s partner charity. Second place will receive $500 and third place, $250. All other participating charities will receive $150.

Tickets are $35 in advance at parallel44.com or $40 at the door.
