Parks Slowly Reopening in Kewaunee County

The lower portion of Bruemmer Park Zoo in Kewaunee County has reopened. Submitted.

The Kewaunee County Promotions and Recreation Department (KewauneeCo.org) is slowly reopening its parks, and some have new amenities.

Riverview ATV Park – designed for off-road recreational vehicles such as ATVs, UTVs and dirt bikes – is officially open until mid-November. New at the park, visitors will be required to purchase a trail pass for each vehicle being used. Passes are $5 per day or $30 for the season. 

The ’Burg Speedway has been given the green light to start its racing season in mid-June, and the lower portion of Bruemmer Park Zoo has reopened. Those who are playing on the 27-hole disc-golf course at Winter Park are encouraged to make a $5 donation to help with course maintenance. 

Playground equipment remains closed at all county parks until further notice, and not all public restrooms are open at this time. Please continue social distancing when visiting parks.
