Participate, Spectate, Volunteer

The Door County YMCA invites everyone to get involved with the Door County YMCA’s Labor Day Duathlon and 5k run/walk on Aug. 30, as a participant, volunteer or spectator.

Festivities kick off with the duathlon – which includes a 2-mile run, 12-mile bike and 2-mile run – at 8 am, followed by the 5k run/walk at 9:45 am and wrapping up with the ½-mile children’s run at 10:15 am. Participants in the duathlon and 5k will be awarded age group awards and every participant in the children’s run will receive a medal.

Registration is currently open for all events. A price increase will occur on Aug. 15 for the Duathlon and 5k. Duathlon fees are $40 through Aug. 15 and $45 Aug. 16 to race day; $60 for pairs registration. 5k run/walk fees are: $25 through Aug. 15 and $30 Aug. 16 to race day. Youth ages 8 – 17 are $15 for the 5k event, and children up to age 8 are $10 for the children’s run.

Volunteers will be needed on Friday in preparation for the event and Saturday during the event. Any help is much appreciated in making the event spectacular from start to finish for participants.
