Partners in Compassion Campaign Surpasses Phase I Goal

The Good Samaritan Society – Scandia Village has surpassed its $5.2 million goal by $400,000 for the first phase of its “Partners in Compassion” campaign. Phase I includes the construction of a 24-unit assisted living building. The new building will offer residents a choice of a studio, one- or two-bedroom unit. There will be common areas for dining, chapel services, activities, exercise and programs. There will also be a wellness/therapy center for residents and community members.

The groundbreaking for the assisted living building will take place in late summer or early fall.

The campaign team is already working to raise the remaining $600,000 needed to meet the $1 million phase II goal to build private rooms. Phase III includes converting all rooms to private rooms at the care center. This final phase has a fundraising goal of $1.8 million.
