Pastels and Photography at Glas Coffeehouse

Glas Coffeehouse will display oil pastels by Madonna Siles and landscape photography by Cindy Jones throughout May.

Siles, of Sturgeon Bay, paints the Door County landscape plein-air. She uses color-rich oil pastels to express the vibrant light and energy of the Door County coasts, forests and flowering fields. Siles’ book, Searching for Surprise, an illustrated Door County fairy tale, will also be available at Glas. Her artwork is also displayed at Alley Katz boutique, Sturgeon Bay, and at http://www.DoorSurprise.com.

Jones captures nature’s colorful moods in her photos of glowing moonrises, bright florals and frosted windowpanes. Her favorite photographic locales are Door County, New England and her own backyard in Green Bay.
