Patricia Shoppe in Egg Harbor Features “Kara-Line” Dresses

“Kara-Line Dresses”

Nestled within the independent artists shops in Portland, Oregon’s Alberta Arts District, Patricia Shoppe owner, Erin Bosman, found her treasure – a window display of one-of-a-kind, romantic dresses in soft, sheer fabrics. Designed by proprietor Kara Larson, Bosman is featuring the unique “Kara-Line” in a trunk show at Patricia Shoppe in Egg Harbor from July 8 – 12.

The dresses, designed to be layered with the line’s dyed-to-match vintage slips, are considered rare items even within the boutique tradition. The handmade Kara-Line collections change every six weeks and are created solely in Portland. Because quantity is purposefully limited, the dresses are not typically sold outside Larson’s shop, Tumbleweeds. Also, each dress is one-size-fits-most (sizes 4-12) and is made to drape the body in feminine, yet wearable style.

According to Larson, comfort is key to her very special collection. “We offer beautiful clothes for everyday life,” she said. “I feel you should be able to wear a dress strolling down the aisle of a grocery store then off to a wedding.”

Patricia Shoppe, open daily from 10 am – 7 pm, is located at 7681 in Egg Harbor. For more information call
