The City of Kewaunee has appointed Paul Jirtle as Interim Public Works Director until such time as a permanent replacement is selected. A Kewaunee native, Paul brings to the position a 30-plus year career in maintenance and repair of public facilities, equipment and energy conservation practices. Specifically, Jirtle served as the District-Wide Maintenance Manager for NWTC prior to retiring in 2016. “We are grateful to Paul for his willingness to help out the city during this transition process,” said Kewaunee Mayor Sandi Christman.
People interested in applying for the position of City of Kewaunee Public Works Director are urged to go to the City’s website, cityofkewaunee.org, to obtain a job application and job description. Application materials may also be obtained at Kewaunee City Hall, 401 Fifth Street, Kewaunee. Completed application, cover letter, resume along with five work-related references are due by 4:30 pm Sept. 14, 2018. It is anticipated that the new, permanent Public Works Director will start by Thanksgiving.
