Peg Egan Celebrates International Day of Peace

Each year, the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on Sept. 21. The United Nations General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples. The theme for the International Day of Peace in 2018 is “The Right to Peace – The Universal Declaration of Human Rights at 70.”

In observance of International Day of Peace, Door County Medical Center will sponsor a free outdoor Community Gathering, 5:30-7 pm, at the Peg Egan Performing Art Center. Afterwards, participants are invited to the Kress Pavillion to enjoy a community social along with free refreshments. Activities at the Peg Egan PAC will include a meditation walk, dances of universal peace, LEAP the Human Kindness Project music, and a drumming circle. For more information call 920.493.5979.
