Peninsula Century Fall Challenge Photos 2018

Door County is a beautiful place to bike all year (yes, even in winter on a fat bike), but there may be not better time than fall to bike on the peninsula.

Len Villano captured scenes from the Sept. 15 Peninsula Century Fall Challenge ride, which sent riders on a 100 mile trek on a beautiful morning, starting and finishing at Waterfront Park in Sister Bay.

The ride included the King of the Hills Challenge, in which riders participate in three timed climbs to compete for prizes and the Polka King of the Hills jersey. The first of those takes them up the Ephraim Hill, which provided a perfect spot for Villano to capture an early morning in the village.

The 2019 Fall Challenge takes place Sept. 14, 2019.
