Peninsula Chamber Singers Begin Rehearsals

The Peninsula Chamber Singers, under the direction of Merle Colburn, will begin rehearsals for their Fall/Christmas Concert on September 22 at 7 pm at the Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church. Members, former members and newcomers who enjoy choral singing are encouraged to meet at the Sturgeon Bay UMC Church before 7 pm for registration, music distribution and the first rehearsal.

Rehearsals are held weekly thereafter on Monday evenings, alternating between the church in Sturgeon Bay and, new for this season, Calvary UMC in Egg Harbor as the Northern Door rehearsal location. Also scheduled for this year are a number of Saturday social/make-up practices from 9 am – noon.

The Peninsula Chamber Singers traditionally performs classical, sacred, secular and spiritual, as well as show tunes and other popular and seasonal music. No audition is necessary to become a member, and dues for membership remain at $20. Concert dates are December 6 and 7.
