Peninsula Chamber Singers Perform Spring Concert

The Chamber Singers have been rehearsing weekly since February in preparation for their annual Spring Concert, which will be presented as a gift to the community on Saturday, May 8, 7 pm, at the United Methodist Church, in Sturgeon Bay, and on Sunday, May 9, 3 pm, at the Door Community Auditorium in Fish Creek.

In this year’s concert, Artistic Director Merle Colburn will lead the Singers in a spectrum of choral music including sacred choruses by Haydn, Mendelssohn and Brahms; a medley from Lerner and Lowe’s ever-popular musical “Camelot;” American folk songs, and works by John Rutter and John Leavitt. Several soloists as well as accompanist David Beck will also be heard.

As always, while the concerts are free, attendees will have the opportunity to donate to the Peninsula Chamber Singers; a non-profit cultural organization.
