Peninsula Chamber Singers Welcomes Singers for Spring

The Peninsula Chamber Singers would like to welcome singers from Northeast Wisconsin to rehearse and perform with Artistic Director Merle Colburn.

With performances twice a year, the chorus will begin rehearsing for the spring concert on Monday February 23 at the Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church (UMC). Participants are encouraged to arrive before 7 pm for registration and music distribution. While auditions are not mandatory, attendance at two-thirds of all rehearsals is required, and membership dues remain at $20.

The remaining regular rehearsals will be at 7 pm on Mondays, alternating between the Sturgeon Bay UMC and Calvary UMC in Egg Harbor. There will be two extra Saturday morning rehearsals. As in the past, Saturday rehearsals have two purposes: they may be used as makeup for missed rehearsals, and as a “singer driven” time to work on music that need special attention.

The spring performances, which will be a blend of revisited material from past performances and new material, will be Mother’s Day weekend, May 9 and May 10.
