The Peninsula Genealogical Society recently celebrated 25 years of helping people find their ancestry. Members include: (Top row, left to right) Bob Hohneke, Treasurer Lee Grota, Vice-President Mary Grota, Secretary Ginny Haen, Corresponding Secretary Sally Treichel, Laura Kayacan, (bottom row) Webmaster Sue Hohneke, Myrle Welhaven, President Sue Havel, (not pictured) Steve Johnson, Ron Fauser, John Ellenbecker and Jennifer Levendusky.

The Peninsula Genealogical Society recently celebrated their 25th anniversary with an Ethnic Epicure Event. Members each brought a dish that his or her ancestors might have served.

The Genealogical Society has worked on many projects through the years to provide information to people researching their family history. These projects have culminated in a highly successful website managed by Sue Hohneke.

The website includes access to Door County surnames, cemetery records, family photos, history of Door County towns, maps and family histories. An ongoing project involves adding more gravestone photos from all county cemeteries.

Visitors and new members are welcome; meeting times are on the website at http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~wipgs/PGS/.
