Peninsula Jeweler Hosts Gem Dig

Peninsula Jeweler, located at 218 S. Neenah Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, is hosting a Gem Dig for the public on Saturday, June 14 from 11 am – 4 pm. For five dollars, participants will be provided a bucket of sand in which to “pan for gems.” The sand will be laced with genuine amethysts, diamonds, citrines, topaz, rubies, peridot, sapphires, and garnets.

Kim Pedler, award-winning goldsmith, will be on hand to assist in selecting and setting gemstones to mountings. Fused-glass artists Doug and Barbara Henderson will also offer sun-catcher classes for seven dollars.
