Peninsula Launches Centennial Geocache

One part high tech, two parts great rec:  it’s geocaching. A GPS unit and a sense of adventure are all you need for this modern twist on the classic treasure hunt. Log in coordinates on your GPS to find small hidden caches.

So Many Memories is a new geocache at Peninsula State Park. It is a multi-stage cache, with four destinations along a two-mile loop. Education and sustainable recreation are goals of this geocache. To find the start coordinates visit http://www.geocaching.com and search for So Many Memories.

This geocache counts as miles for both Peninsula’s Like to Hike program and the Peninsula 100 Club. These incentive programs enable participants to buy a 2009 violet pin at discount, or earn a FREE hiking shield.
