Peninsula Music Festival Heard on WPR

The Peninsula Music Festival was heard on Wisconsin Public Radio Nov. 20 as part of “Music From Wisconsin” with Anders Yocum.

Music Director and Conductor Victor Yampolsky conducted the concert on Aug. 17, 2010 which was aired. The concert featured Symphony No. 2, Op. 132, “Mysterious Mountain” by Hovhaness, Viola Concerto by John Williams with Michael Zaretsky, and the Scheherazade, Symphonic Suite, Op. 35 by Rimsky-Korsakov.

The Peninsula Music Festival presents nine different symphonic concerts in three weeks each August in Door County. 2012 will mark the 60th season for the festival. In addition to the nine-concert August season, the festival presents off-season chamber concerts and has an extensive educational outreach program that includes scholarships and internships.
